Meeting friends.
Oskar and I met up with two of my UKS friends last Friday in Whitby. Racheal, Lynn and I have been friends now for 3 years, when we created the Scrapparazzi team in 2005.
I previously met Racheal in August 2006, when she and her family came to visit us during a holiday in Norway. Oskar, was only 6 weeks old at the time. Lynn, I met up with last year, again in Whitby. But this was the first time the three of us had met together (although Lynn and Racheal have attended retreats together on a couple of occassions)
We are back..
..and tired! It was a long journey home yesterday and rather taxing at times! Today, Oskar and I are just pottering around after getting up late. Me at 8.30am and Oskar 9.15am!!!! Bags have been emptied, washing machine on and chicken for tonights dinner is defrosting!

Summerising..
Well, due to limited internet access, I haven't been able to keep my holiday diary up to date:(
Highlights were visiting Cruckley Farm. Oskar loved roaming freely amongst all the animals and was particularly taken with the chickens, ducks and turkeys!
Last Friday, we drove up to Whitby to see my friends Lynn and Racheal.
Tomorrow, we begin our long journey back to Norway.

Friday..
was a trip to McArthur Glen retail park near York. I wanted to visit here, to get some new shoes for Oskar.
I wasn't disappointed and after having his feet measured (UK size 7 G), we found a lovely pair of brown shoes with velcrow fastening - yey, so more shoe laces;)
As a suprise, Mum and Dad then took us to York for fish and chips at Wackers. Thankfully, Oskar prove he is half Yorkshire and loved his haddock;)

Meeting Louise, James and Daniel
On Thursday afternoon, we met up with my old friend Louise and her two boys. We all went to the Streetlife Transport Museum in Hull. Oskar was asleep for the first part of the visit, but thrilled with what he saw, when awake. He loved seeing the trams, buses, cycles and cars! A perfect place for a little boy!
Update.
After an long day, Oskar and I arrived safely last Wednesday. Everything went well, although I didn't expect Oskar to be upset about having his own seat on the plane. So from Kristiansand to Amsterdam, he was allowed to sit on my knee! He was fine once we were flying and happy to move around, but just wouldn't sit on his own seat.
At Schipol, I bought "Percy" from Thomas the Tank engine and he was really happy to play with this. What Oskar didn't know was I also bought his favourite train "Toby" too, so this was my ace card for the flight from Amsterdam to Manchester. When we boarded our flight, Oskar wasn't too happy again, but with the help of Percy and Toby, he sat in his own seat and was happy:) Result!
Getting on our train to York was tricky...nobody wanted to help me. But once on board, Oskar loved the train journey. He was even given a large bar of chocolate from a kind passenger! I was thankful, that my parents were on the plaform at York, and with the help of a kind fellow passenger, get off the train easier than we got on. So after leaving home at 8am CET, we arrived at my parents house at 8.30pm BST.....thirteen hours later.

We're leaving...
...on a jet plane! Yep, tomorrow is the day Oskar and I fly to UK. Early start to get to Kristiansand for our first flight to Amsterdam and we'll reach my parents house around 9pm. It's going to be a long day with 2 x flights, 2 x car journeys and 1 train ride!
