Well Done..

HULL CITY! Going to be playing with the big boys next season!

Todays the day..

Hull City v Bristol City at Wembley for a place in the Championship League next season. Plus the Eurovision Song Contest.

I missed Thursday's semi final of the ESC, so am pleased that NRK are repeating it today, ahead of this evenings show:)

Oskar is wearing his amber and black Tiger t-shirt in honour of Hull City. Will be back later....

2 weeks and counting

until I head off to Scrap-a-Ganza. I am really looking forward to going and having a totally indulgent weekend of scrapping:) Of course, I'll miss Nils and Oskar, but i am sure that they will have a great time together doing "boy" things:)

I'll be travelling light and only taking the bare essentials as I'll be loaded down with new stash on the way home. Hopefully the 20kg + 10kg baggage allowance on KLM will suffice!

In the meantime, I need to get organised and sort out my tool kit. Any missing items need to be bought pretty quickly as the local kommune (Council) begin work on fixing the bridge near to the house next week. Which means, it is closed week I go to SAG, so wont be able to get out and about much.

This is what happens..

...when a certain little boy decides that he wants to play in a sandpit! That's right, he improvises and makes one himself, using what he can find. In this case, spice and vanilla sugar!

trying to find the photos to go with this......

Eurovision Song Contest!

Love it, or hate it, it's that time of year again.

Norway have just got through in the first semi-final this evening! Must admit, there were some strange offerings. Ireland were clearly taking the p*ss, with their act. Unfortunately/fortunately, the rest of Europe didn't see the funny side of Dustin the Turkey!

Not seen or heard the UK entry yet..I'll wait in suspense for that one! Am expecting it to be just as boring as previous entries have been over past 5 years or so!

So, one more semi to go before the big event on Saturday evening. That, plus Hull City at Wembley earlier in the day.....will I be able to stand such excitement in one day!!!!!

Lovely weather.

Over the past few weeks, the weather has been gorgeous. We've spent time in the garden, tidying up and planting the Skaugum begonias, dahlias and commelina's. Oskar loves been outside. Here he is chillin' outside with a cat of mine (which seems to be minus its whiskers now!)

No...

..we haven't got a pterodactyl living in the garden!

It is a magpie nest!

I might not be a football fan...

...but wishing Hull City FC all the best in their play-off match at Wembley on Saturday 24th May. It will be an exciting day and to finish off, there will be the Eurovision Song Contest in the evening. Looks like it's going to be a great day.

The weather

If anyone wants a link to our very specific weather forecast, let me know! I'm not posting the link because it will then tell people I don't know, exactly where we live! It is fab, lots of graphics and in English too:) It is becoming a daily obsession.....can I hang my washing out between 2pm and 4pm, blah, blah, blah!

Oskar is now 22 months old and....

...it is also Anette's 2nd Birthday today.

So, I was busy making a cake to take to the Birthday celebrations as well as a card.

For some reason, Oskar always starts crying when we drive up to see Anette, Anne Gro and Finn. And true to form, as soon as we began the final climb up to their house, he began blubbering! Nils managed to calm Oskar down, and we headed over to the party tent to join the rest of the partygoers. For the first 30 minutes or so, Oskar clung to Nils. However, after that, he began circulating around charming himself around the the guests. Overall, he had a fab time and it's hard to believe that we'll be hosting a similar "bash" 9 weeks today!
